Fractured Horizon Ep 17- The start of Volume 3
Episode 17 is available and here is the blurb:
This is the start of Volume 3. Kay returns to the Adams and sees that they are reaching the edge of desperation. She finally meets the Snakes, but not under the best circumstances!
The episodes that start Volume 3 show the quiet maneuvering before the strong press to the end of the book. After the next couple episodes the action will begin and not relent until the end.
My trusty and invaluable pre-release reviewer, who does the final quality and sanity check, had an interesting observation about this episode:
"There was one part I liked when Kay was discussing the future with Talos and he says "we [the Adams] cause things to happen." That reminds me of what one Bush administration official once said:
The aide said that guys like me [Reporters] were ''in what we call the reality-based community,'' which he defined as people who ''believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.'' I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. ''That's not the way the world really works anymore,'' he continued. ''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.'' --- http://www.cs.umass.edu/~immerman/play/opinion05/WithoutADoubt.html
In other news, during the week of Thanksgiving I will have limited Internet access but will try to find a haven where I can upload the next episode (*revision note: There will be no episode released the week of Thanksgiving). I will be unavailable on Twitter and Facebook. I wish you all the best.
